“Mercy all the way” is part of the International Competition at Brussels Short Film Festival in Belgium 2015. The festival takes place 23 April – 3 May. Happy to see how the Belgian audience reacts to the extreme Finnish ways of maintaining peace in society.
Director Hannaleena Hauru was interviewed in Rotterdam by Nisimazine, a daily festival magazine, created in the framework of a series of film journalism workshops designed for young film critics taking place during international film festivals.
” A thesis for today – if Anders Breivik had been having more sex, the Norway massacre might not have happened. That’s the premise of Mercy all the way – Säälistäjät, film by Hannaleena Hauru presented at this year’s IFFR industry market. Watch the Nisimazine video interview with the director to get to know more about this hilarious satire where women assemble to distribute “mercy fucks”. ”
Mercy all the way (30 min) will be screened 3 February 2015 14:00 at George Conchon Theatre, as part of the Scandinavian Shorts screening (Market Screenings), at Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival. Welcome!
